Ronald A. Papa, President of Legacy Advisors, is a well-known financial educator and speaker. Over 5,000 retirees have attended his presentations, including those from Verizon, Boston Edison, Boston University, MIT, the Mass Teachers Association, The Commonwealth of Mass, and the Federal Government. Ron has developed a specialty in advising retirees and those about to retire how to ensure that their assets are properly positioned to achieve their retirement goals; to avoid the many oversights that commonly occur; and to make certain their estate plan is in order. Mr. Papa, holds an MBA, is an alumnus of Boston University, St. Regis University and Suffolk Law School.
In July of 2009, Ron was invited to serve as Boston chapter director for The Foundation for Personal Financial Education, a nationally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit speakers bureau. Ron has used his financial acumen to not only benefit thousands of South Shore retirees, but also the community, as Past Chairman of the Board of the Plymouth County Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club.
Well-known locally as a bandleader, Ron worked his way through college and law school as a professional musician, and then toured extensively both nationally and abroad. Ron has also served as CFO of a successful hospitality corporation and operated the popular South Shore restaurant, The Inn for all Seasons from 1979 to 1993; a principal in a tax & accounting firm, LedgerPlus, from 1993 to 1996; and in his current position as president of his own firm from 1996 to the present.
Legacy Advisors Wealth Management is a “fee-based” Registered Investment Advisor, provides comprehensive wealth management and preservation services for retirees and investors. They advocate a “team approach” & holistic philosophy. When necessary, they consult qualified third-party affiliates for their recommendations. Their standards dictate that they must act as fiduciaries and be “masters” in their respective fields of elder and estate law, taxation, insurance, and investment management. They focus on helping their clients make better financial & estate decisions while understand the implications of your decision within the context of your goals, priorities, and options open to you. The financial advisors identify your life and legacy goals, and then integrate every aspect of your finances – taxes, investments, estate planning, risk management, education planning, retirement, and more – so that those goals are supported.
Ron recruited his wife and office manager, Sharyn from a prosperous regional management career with Estee Lauder Corporation. They believe that these backgrounds uniquely serve their “client-first” philosophy. They are lifelong residents of the South Shore and live on Nantasket Beach. They enjoy sailing when the weather and their busy practice allows for some leisure time. They are blessed with two daughters and four granddaughters.
